January 20, 2012: South Central Wisconsin Move to Amend (SCWMTA) will be holding a rally marking the 2nd Anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United v. FEC. This rally is part of “Occupy the Courts,” the national day of protest taking place in over 100 cities across the country.
“Occupy” here is symbolic. Demonstrations will occur outside federal court houses around the country. South Central Wisconsin Move to Amend (SCMTA) is sponsoring an event from 4:30 to 6:00 at the Kastenmeier Federal Courthouse at 120 N. Henry St. in Madison (corner of W. Dayton and N. Henry). At 6:00 the event will move to The Ivory Room, 116 W. Mifflin St., for a party, lasting until 8:00 p.m., to “celebrate” this notorious anniversary.
